Welcome to the first edition of our Community Series. Over the coming months, we’ll be showcasing some of the wonderful residents who make Arbor Park a great place to live, starting with a few of our newest neighbours.

Room to grow at Arbor Park

When Andre and Beatriz began looking for a new home, they wanted somewhere that would give their growing family more space, a garden for their dog and, importantly, a home that was ready to move into straight away. With their baby on the way, waiting months for a new property to be completed was not an option. After widening their search beyond the village where they had been renting, they discovered Arbor Park.

Although they viewed several new developments, Arbor Park immediately stood out. Its smaller scale, spacious layout and community feel offered something different from the larger estates they had considered and the availability of a completed home meant they could move within the timeframe they needed.

“The development itself really stood out. It feels like a small village and somewhere a community can grow,” they explain. “We have the best of both worlds: we are close to the town centre and shops, but when we come home, it feels peaceful, with a real sense of space and the countryside nearby.”

Their home was already finished when they viewed it, but Andre and Beatriz were delighted with the high-quality fixtures, finishes and design choices throughout.

“Everything had been chosen beautifully and finished to a really high standard. We honestly wouldn’t have changed a thing.”

The open-plan kitchen and dining area was one of the features that sold the home to them. As people who enjoy bringing friends and family together, they wanted a sociable space where they could cook, eat and entertain. Within just a week of moving in, they put it to the test by hosting a baby shower for around 20 guests.

“We wanted to be the home where everyone could come together. The kitchen, dining area and garden work as one flexible space, so there was plenty of room for everybody. It made the baby shower incredibly special.”

The enclosed garden is also ideal for their dog, while the utility room, with direct access outside, provides a practical place to clean muddy paws before they reach the rest of the house. The playground and surrounding open space were further reasons for choosing Arbor Park, offering a safe and welcoming environment for their child to enjoy in the future.

The home also works extremely well for working from home, which is particularly important while they prepare for the baby’s arrival. The location provides a manageable drive into Oxford when needed, while keeping shops and other amenities within easy reach.

Andre was also impressed by the home’s sustainability credentials and expects its energy efficiency to help reduce the family’s household bills. He is already exploring the possibility of installing solar panels to make their new home even more sustainable in the future.

Andre and Beatriz praised the support they received from Lorraine throughout the buying process. Rather than simply showing them available properties, she took the time to understand their circumstances, timescales and plans for the future.

“Lorraine was amazing from the beginning. She listened to what we needed, understood our situation and helped us imagine how the house could work for our family.”

With their nursery now being prepared, the couple are looking forward to welcoming baby Nicolas, who they believe will be the first baby born to a family living at Arbor Park.

After only a few weeks in their new home, Andre and Beatriz are already recommending the development to friends and family.

“We would definitely recommend Arbor Park. We have already started telling others to come and see the homes for themselves.”
