The Witney and West Oxfordshire food bank are a much needed charity who provide three days’ emergency food and support to local people in need. They are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by the Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
After discussions with the Witney and West Oxfordshire foodbank, we decided to install a foodbank collection point in our office. We emailed all staff requesting donations and advising what food items were most needed. Everyone was very generous, with over 100 items donated. All items were gratefully received by the foodbank to create food parcels for families in need just in time for Christmas.
